1. Our Commitment

FuelSmart is committed to making our service accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology.

We target compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our platform.

2. Current Status

  • The station list provides full station data (prices, amenities, distance) without requiring interaction with the map.
  • Dark mode is available to reduce eye strain and improve readability in low-light environments.
  • Keyboard navigation is supported for core features including search, filters, and station selection.
  • Text content is compatible with screen readers for browsing stations, prices, and route information.

3. Known Limitations

  • The interactive map (Leaflet) requires visual interaction to browse station markers. The station list is provided as a fully accessible alternative.
  • Charts and data visualisations may not be fully accessible to screen readers. Where possible, the same data is available in table or text format.
  • Mobile touch interaction may vary depending on device and assistive technology combination.

4. Reporting Issues

If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using FuelSmart, please let us know so we can address them.

Email: hello@fuelsmart.uk

We will acknowledge your report within 5 business days and work to address the issue within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility concern, you can contact the Equality Advisory Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
